Online One-on-One Course for RNA-Seq and Multi-Omics Analysis

For those who want to learn RNA-Seq data analysis online using real datasets.

This one-on-one online training is designed to help you develop the ability to observe, judge, and interpret real data while using Subio Platform and its Plug-ins.

The training is suitable not only for those who wish to analyze their own experimental data, but also for those who want to learn RNA-Seq analysis using public datasets such as GEO.

Are you unsatisfied with training that only follows fixed procedures?

Develop real analytical skills for working with real data

Many RNA-Seq and microarray training courses use carefully prepared datasets that are unlikely to cause problems, and proceed according to a fixed workflow.

However, real research data often comes with various challenges: noisy signals, complex sample conditions, and results that do not appear as expected.

As a result, simply applying the procedures learned in a standard course is often not enough.

In this training, you will learn how to work with the specific challenges of real data. You will examine the state of the data, consider an analysis strategy based on the research objective, apply various analysis methods, and interpret the results.

What are the real skills required for RNA-Seq and omics data analysis?

What truly matters in RNA-Seq and omics data analysis is not simply memorizing a fixed workflow.

It is the ability to look at real data and make appropriate decisions based on its condition.

  • Accurately understanding the unique characteristics of each dataset
  • Flexibly selecting and applying analysis methods according to the data
  • Repeating visual inspection and trial-and-error until the results make sense

The Subio approach: live analysis using your own data

This training is a practical, hands-on program using Subio Platform and its Plug-ins.

You will work with data that you actually want to analyze, such as your own experimental data or public datasets obtained from databases such as GEO.

While looking at the actual analysis screen, we will consider the analysis strategy together.

Rather than simply learning how to operate the software, you will learn through trial and error with an expert:

  • How to diagnose noise and bias specific to the dataset
  • Which analysis method should be selected
  • Why that method should be selected
  • How to check and interpret the results

Through this process, you will develop practical analytical skills for making full use of the Plug-ins with real data.

Training content: main curriculum

  • Data import, preprocessing, and normalization
Build a reliable foundation for analysis.
  • Visualization and data interpretation
Learn how to read the characteristics of the data.
  • Filtering and statistical analysis
Select an appropriate analysis strategy according to the state of the data.
  • Clustering, GO analysis, and pathway analysis
Add biological meaning to statistical analysis results.
  • Applied analysis
Use public datasets, connect with external tools, and compare multiple datasets.

This training does not follow a predefined workflow mechanically. Instead, we decide the analysis strategy on the spot according to the condition of the real data.

Which tool should be used?
Why should this method be selected?

By thinking through these decisions together and repeating trial and error, you will gain practical insights that cannot be learned from textbooks alone.

Note: Importing FASTQ or BAM files is not covered in this training.
If you need support starting from FASTQ preprocessing, please use our Troubleshooting on FASTQ Processing Service.

Difference from contracted data analysis: learning to handle the processes that can usually be outsourced

Preparation Data Import Normalization & Pre-processing Data Browsing Statistical Analysis Biological Interpretation Can be outsourced Researcher-led

In our contracted Data Analysis Service, we take care of technical preparation steps such as data import, preprocessing, and normalization. This allows customers to focus on the steps where the researcher’s own perspective is especially important, such as reviewing the results and making biological interpretations.

In contrast, this training aims to help you understand and make decisions about the entire analysis workflow, including steps such as data import and normalization, which are often entrusted to others.

As a result, you will be able to accumulate analysis experience efficiently, not only with your own experimental data but also by using public datasets such as GEO.

Continuous training is important for learning RNA-Seq data analysis

Omics data analysis cannot be mastered in a single training session.

To develop real analytical skills, it is necessary to attend multiple training sessions and gain experience with multiple datasets.

As a rough guideline, taking 3 to 6 sessions over the course of about one year and working on around 10 datasets will help you develop the ability to recognize differences between datasets and proceed with analysis based on your own judgment.

By working with different datasets and repeating trial and error, you can move from simply “knowing the procedure” to being able to “make decisions according to the data.”

Even after gaining experience, you may still face situations where judgment is difficult, such as new data types or complex experimental designs. In such cases, please do not struggle alone. You can also take spot training sessions as needed.

This training is a practical learning opportunity for using the Plug-ins more effectively.

We are your analysis mentor

This is not a one-time software operation course. It is one-on-one support designed to help you continuously improve your analytical skills while working with real data.

From “knowing the procedure” to “making decisions according to the data”

For those who want results first, and those who want to analyze data by themselves

For many researchers, it is not easy to handle every step of the analysis from the beginning. If you first want to obtain analysis results and deepen your understanding through review and interpretation, using our Data Analysis Service is an effective option.

On the other hand, if you want to go one step further and become able to make your own decisions throughout the process, from preprocessing to analysis and interpretation, we recommend this online training.

If you are not sure which option is suitable for you, please feel free to contact us. We will suggest an appropriate approach based on your objective and the state of your data.
